DOULA SERVICES
Considering having a doula for support during your pregnancy and birthing experience? Browse through our doula packages to see what best suits you. From a more hands on interactive relationship, to virtual options- your comfort is prioritized.
WHAT IS A DOULA? A doula is an emotional support person. A birth doula will help during the labor and delivery of a pregnant person, and a check in postpartum. A postpartum doula will help for an extended period of time, helping parents to get acclimated to the arrival of their baby and get comfortable with the lifestyle adjustments that come with it. Doulas are not on the clinical side of things but are a great complement to your healthcare team and an advocate for you.

my training
I trained in an amazing cohort through FLOW OF LIFE located out of Asheville, NC.
Roxy Robbins (DONA doula, Lamaze Childbirth Educator, RPYT, LMT) has been a practicing doula for 10 years. She was a wonderful presence with her charismatic and immersive teaching experience to guide me in my doula work, providing me with a sturdy foundation for my scope of practice. She made my introduction to the beautiful (albeit chaotic and unpredictable) subject of birth work, and her delivery of the material was vulnerable, honest, educational, and transformative.
Sue Ann Fisher (500hr E-RYT, RPYT, Master of Public Health) introduced me to the yoga side of things. I had joined the cohort with the intention of getting doula certified but quickly found myself drawn to the flow. Her teaching being centered around the anatomy of the pelvis and the power of the pregnant body influenced me to continue my own practice. I took note of how important it is to open the spirit to the pregnant body's power and limitations, through modification and personal pace during yoga sessions.
(I highly recommend anyone who is interested in their own doula or PYT training to Flow of Life!)
I (Rhyonn Ford) am a trained doula extending my certification through DONA and an 85hr PYT yoga instructor. I am actively enhancing my education with independent studies and work experience. I am attending my first client's birth in December and have thus far had one prenatal yoga client attend sessions, discovering me at her 34-week mark! I am looking forward to establishing my practice and building a wonderful community of clientele.
